Your role will involve promoting personal and social development, encouraging independence, and enabling access to activities. You will receive specialist training in how to support individuals with dual-sensory impairments, often combined with other disabilities.

Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 support to adults with deafblindness in their own homes and out in the community.
- Promote personal and social development, encouraging independence and enabling access to activities.
- Work closely with service users, their families, and other professionals to ensure person-centered care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- A level of energy that will complement our team and the individuals we support.
- Portray a polite and friendly manner.
- Committed to our values, respect, choice, dignity, and listening/understanding.
- A good team member and ability to use your own initiative.
- Positive, with a can-do attitude.
- Caring and empathetic.
- Passionate about enhancing other people's lives.
- Willing to attend training as needed to support you in your role and complete the intervenor pathway.
- BSL Level 1 is preferable for this role, if not a willingness to work towards it.
