Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Technologist to join our clinical team at Equals One Ltd in Kent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.
Your primary focus will be on providing technical support to service users, including conducting assessments, prescribing equipment, and providing guidance on its use. You will also be responsible for supervising junior staff and contributing to the development of internal training resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs using your clinical and technical expertise.
- Prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated accessories, ensuring the best possible outcomes for service users.
- Supervise junior staff and provide clinical and technical guidance to colleagues.
- Contribute to the development of internal training resources and support the delivery of contractual service performance.
- Liaise with service user groups, local voluntary services, and statutory services to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes.
Requirements:
- A strong background in rehabilitation engineering or a related field, with experience in working with patients with complex needs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in the use of digital systems and software for record-keeping and analysis of service performance.
- A full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle and willingness to drive vehicles (vans) as necessary.
- Registration as a Clinical Technologist or with the HCPC as a Clinical Scientist.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is approximately £50,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits such as a Company Pension Scheme, 25 days holiday, and Childcare Voucher Scheme.
