About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will support the People Partner in all aspects of HR, including providing coaching, guidance, and advice on People policies, procedures, and employee relations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing coaching, guidance, and advice on all People policies, procedures, and employee relations
  • Ensuring a fair and consistent approach that complies with employment law
  • Collating, reporting, and analysis of HR KPIs, producing action plans to improve
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Managing long-term absence, occupational health referrals, medical reports, flexible working, maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, etc.
  • Coordinating and managing recruitment, selection, and induction processes
  • Forging relationships with the Trade Union to ensure a positive and constructive working relationship
  • Supporting the health and wellbeing of all colleagues

You Will Need

  • CIPD full or part qualified
  • Previous experience in a generalist role offering first-line advice within a unionised environment essential
  • Able to prioritise, plan, and organise a varied workload, with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Administrative experience with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Attending and supporting all shifts, including night shift, will be a requirement, therefore flexibility to working hours is essential
