Job Title: Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Learning Disability CAMH OT

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Learning Disability CAMH (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) team in Swindon.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care to children and young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing the mental health needs of young people, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based interventions.

You will work closely with families, schools, and other agencies to build care plans and ensure seamless transitions between services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assessing mental health needs and developing treatment plans
  • Providing evidence-based interventions and therapies
  • Working with families and other agencies to build care plans
  • Supervising and supporting junior staff members
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health), Registered Nurse (Learning Disability), Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker qualification
  • Experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
  • Ability to assess client need and develop treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
