About the Role
A mental health practitioner is required to work in education settings, supporting children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions in educational settings.
- Work in partnership with school/college mental health leads to develop a Whole School and College Approach to mental health.
- Collaborate with other professionals to deliver 1:1 interventions, groups, and parent-led interventions.
- Assess and deliver outcome-focused, low-intensity interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Signpost referrals to more senior staff and specialist services as needed.

Requirements
- Qualification from CYP Educational Mental Health Practitioners Course (EMHP) or equivalent.
- Experience of working with anxiety disorders, affective disorders, and specific therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to work in educational settings, monitor and record outcome measures, and maintain confidentiality.
