About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at ABL Health Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Work in partnership with school/college mental health leads to develop a Whole School and College Approach to mental health.
  • Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based psychological treatments, primarily guided self-help.
  • Assess and integrate issues relating to transitions, education, and training/employment into the overall therapeutic process.
  • Contribute to the development of individual or group clinical materials or training materials.
Requirements
  • Qualification from CYP Educational Mental Health Practitioners Course (EMHP), Post Graduate Diploma/Graduate Dip Mental Health Practice in Education Settings.
  • Experience of working with anxiety disorders, affective (mood) disorders, and specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to personally manage a sensitive and potentially emotionally distressing caseload.
