Job Title

A Health and Quality Specialist is required to join Clark Contracts Ltd, a leading privately owned main contractor.

The company operates six divisions across Scotland, employing over 230 people.

The ideal candidate will have mainstream knowledge and experience of health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as strong leadership skills.

We are looking for someone who can provide strategic guidance on health, safety, and quality policies, procedures, and initiatives within the company.

This role involves reviewing and developing HSEQ systems, conducting audits, investigations, and training staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  3. Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  4. Train and develop staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
  5. Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Mainstream knowledge and experience of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of audit and investigation techniques.

Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.
