Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Lead to join our dynamic kitchen team at Wexford Inns in Burwash. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in planning, creating, and innovating seasonal menus that showcase our commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
About the Role
- Assist in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes with a focus on locally sourced ingredients.
- Support the Head Chef in planning, creating, and innovating seasonal menus.
- Help manage kitchen operations, including stock control, food safety, and hygiene practices.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth, efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
About You
- Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
- Passion for food, creativity, and a commitment to using fresh, local ingredients.
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
