Main Responsibilities of the Position

You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and flavorful menus, ensuring a person-centered approach to hospitality. This involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide residents with wholesome dishes cooked at the highest standards.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver hotel/restaurant standards without split shifts or long weeks.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment within our care home.
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, maintaining exceptional standards of culinary excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
  • Hold a relevant culinary qualification such as City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ.
  • Experience in leading and inspiring a team, driving positive outcomes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and working with fresh seasonal food to create tailored meal plans.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence, taking charge of menu planning and inventory control.
  • Complete regular audits to ensure kitchen operations meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Person Specification
  • A strong grasp of HACCP principles and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is £38,500, depending on experience.
