Senior Disaster Recovery Project Manager

Job Summary

Global Resourcing is seeking a highly experienced Senior Disaster Recovery Project Manager to lead a critical project in developing a realistic delivery plan for a customer's Disaster Recovery capability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Disaster Recovery projects, experience working with IT SMEs and Business Change, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage project and/or sprint meetings to ensure projects are tracking to plan, including regular status reporting to the Programme Manager and Delivery Board.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and SMEs obtaining buy-in to project work.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among the project team to ensure a common understanding of the project, roles and responsibilities, tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Specification Acceptance: Ensure specification artefacts are accepted and signed off by the management team.
  • Prioritization and Ambiguity: Manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Disaster Recovery Experience: Experience delivering Disaster Recovery projects.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects, including infrastructure and technical cloud projects.
  • Methodologies: Experience in leading projects with a variety of methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Team Management: Experience in matrix managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills and excellent stakeholder management.
  • Infrastructure and Cloud: Solid understanding of infrastructure and technical cloud projects.
