About the Role

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Smoking Cessation Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in supporting the mobilisation and delivery of the Tobacco Dependence programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake tobacco dependence assessments and educate service users about options to manage their tobacco dependence differently.
  • Work across adult in-patient wards under the supervision of the Tobacco Dependency Lead to raise awareness of the harm from tobacco and the effects on long-term physical health.
  • Support the priorities of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust in relation to this project, working with departments across PAH to secure a collective approach to smoking cessation and smoke-free hospitals.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team, working with them and communicating effectively to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements
  • Education to A level or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Ability to successfully complete National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training.
  • Experience of working in a health promotion and delivering campaigns.
  • Experience of working in an engagement-focused role.
  • Proven experience of working in an administrator role.
