Job Role:
This Permanent SEN Class Teacher position is based at a special school in Erdington, where you'll be responsible for teaching a Year 9 Pathway 4 Class with 8 wonderful pupils who are non-verbal and have complex needs. The successful candidate will need to have experience working with EYFS principles and PECS, as well as being able to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where students can thrive.
Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering individualised lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
* Supporting communication and interaction, incorporating PECS where appropriate.
* Working closely with a supportive team of TAs to ensure holistic care and learning.
Requirements:
* Qualified teacher with a passion for special education (experience in SEN is desirable).
* Knowledge or experience in PECS and/or EYFS principles.
* Patient, flexible, and creative approach to teaching.
