Academic Researcher in Cancer Immunology

We are seeking a highly accomplished scientist with a strong research profile to contribute to the Leicester Cancer Research Centre, within the Department of Genetics and Genome Biology. The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research and teaching in the field of cancer immunology and prevention, focusing on developing agents that prevent cancer and understanding their mechanisms of action.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in cancer prevention and immunology, with a focus on developing new biomarkers and understanding their clinical effectiveness.
- Teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to modules and taught postgraduate courses in Cancer Molecular Pathology and Therapeutics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop an independent research programme and contribute to the University's strategic priorities in cancer research.
We are looking for an established researcher with a strong publication profile in cancer immunology or immunology with a focus on cancer. The ideal candidate will have experience in research in cancer prevention or a willingness to apply their skills and expertise to this area. Excellent networking skills and a collaborative attitude to research are essential.
