This Senior Academic Clinician/Honorary Consultant post is a key opportunity for a high-calibre clinician/scientist to join the Leicester Cancer Research Centre (Department of Genetics and Genome Biology) and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a research profile of national/international standing and become a significant research income generator.
- Enhance impact activity and develop a programme of high-quality research within the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre Cancer Theme.
- Supervise a team of clinical and non-clinical postgraduate and undergraduate researchers.
- Contribute to teaching delivery within the College.
- Deliver five programmed activities delivering to the Consultant clinical medical oncology service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinician/scientist who possesses full GMC registration and a licence to practice. You will have a strong track record of research and a proven ability to generate research income. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
