Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gyms, holiday camps, and social impact initiatives. As our new Head of Operations and People, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient business processes, directly supporting our owners in achieving strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong operational background, excellent organisational skills, a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment, and a desire to create change in the fitness industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations in our gyms, holiday camps, and social impact initiatives to ensure the business runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support a team of managers and coaches, fostering a work culture that incorporates kindness, inclusivity, community, and impact.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our owners to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with our company's mission and goals.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a consistently high level of customer service and satisfaction, addressing client feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance, providing regular reports to our owners.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies, implementing best practices across all areas of the business.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and clients.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage special projects, initiatives, and events that support our company's growth and community engagement.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an operational management role, preferably in the fitness, health, or wellness industries.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically, with initiative, and make sound decisions.
  • Customer Focus: Dedication to providing excellent customer service and enhancing the client experience.
  • PASSION FOR HEALTH AND FITNESS: A genuine interest in health, fitness, and wellbeing, aligning with our company's mission and core values.
  • Flexibility: This role can require shift work, studio cover, and getting stuck in where required.
