Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily domestic duties to maintain a homely environment
  • Plan and participate in activities to encourage individual interests and attitudes
  • Assess and contribute to care and risk plans to promote the welfare of each young person
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people
  • Manage behaviour positively and assertively in line with care and risk management plans
  • Consult with young people to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Motivate and assist young people in developing positive networks with adults and peer groups
  • Participate in the development and review of packages of care through team meetings and supervisions

Requirements:

  • Level Diploma in Residential Childcare or Equivalent
  • Understanding and commitment to the role, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Empathetic nature and good communication skills
