Job Title: Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and support to young people, including domestic duties, meal preparation, and personal care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Manage challenging behavior and provide emotional support to young people.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and risk assessments.
  • Attend child care reviews and advocate for the young person's needs.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and maintain accurate records.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level.
  • Empathetic nature and good oral and written communication skills.
