Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Protection Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading healthcare organization and contribute to the development and implementation of our data protection strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice on data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate data protection risks, and implement controls to prevent data breaches.
- Conduct data protection impact assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide training and awareness programs to ensure staff understand their data protection responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain records of processing activities, including data protection by design and default.
- Collaborate with the Information Governance Manager to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
- Relevant qualifications in data protection, information governance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data protection, information governance, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
