BAIL is a small, well-resourced organisation with an impressive, dedicated, and friendly staff team. Our new Director will inherit a well-established operation, with the support of a committed board of trustees. The Director will lead on:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the organisation's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
  2. Finance and Operations: Oversee the financial management and operational efficiency of the organisation, ensuring effective use of resources.
  3. People and Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting the well-being and development of staff.
  4. Fundraising: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, securing resources to support our work.
  5. Policy and Communications: Lead on policy development and communications, ensuring our voice is heard and our message is clear.
  6. Legal Casework: Oversee the delivery of high-quality legal casework, ensuring the rights of individuals in detention are protected.
  7. Governance and Regulation: Ensure the organisation is compliant with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining a strong governance framework.

The Director will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of 10 staff, with the support of our committed board of trustees. As a small charity, the post-holder will need to be agile and responsive, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
