Job Overview

The successful candidate will join our dedicated team of childcare professionals in Wakefield, providing expert support and care to vulnerable young people. Key Accountabilities
  1. Deliver high-quality daily care and support, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.
  2. Develop and implement tailored activity programs, catering to individual interests and promoting personal growth.
  3. Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, protecting the welfare of each young person, in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 guidelines.
  4. Establish and maintain effective relationships with young people, promoting trust, confidence, and open communication.
  5. Collaborate with the care team to implement behaviour management strategies, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  6. Promote healthy lifestyles and foster positive relationships between young people and adult/peer networks, encouraging their social and emotional development.
  7. Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of packages of care, participating in team meetings and supervisions to ensure comprehensive support.
  8. Advocate for young people's interests in child care reviews, upholding their rights and dignity.
