We're looking for an experienced Youth Development Specialist to join our team at S Knights Recruitment. The successful candidate will work with young people on a 12-week programme aimed at supporting those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET).

Key responsibilities include working closely with young people to identify and address behavioural challenges, building strong relationships with learners, and helping them develop social and emotional skills.

The programme focuses on breaking down barriers, influencing mindsets, and guiding young people towards positive outcomes. Collaborating with teachers, providing one-on-one mentoring, and maintaining accurate records of learner progress are also key aspects of this role.

funding: DfE 16 to 18 Study Programme Funding, Structure: 2 cohorts per teacher/behaviour mentor, with approximately 15-25 learners per class, Commitment: Full-time equivalent (FTE) post.

Requirements: A strong passion for working with young people, Ability to see beyond challenging behaviour, Experience working with young people with behavioural issues, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Desirable: Experience in education, social work, or youth work, A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
