Part Time Youth Development Worker
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Part Time Youth Development Worker to join our team at Leeds Bread Co-op. As a key member of our youth services, you will play a vital role in supporting the personal and social development of young people through engagement, education, and empowerment.

About the Role
As a Part Time Youth Development Worker, you will provide support, encouragement, and guidance to young people within safe spaces to build their capabilities for learning and transition to adulthood. You will work closely with our team to deliver youth work programmes across all 33 wards, focusing on emotional and mental wellbeing, positive decision making, risk-taking behaviours, sexual health, substance misuse, physical health, peer pressure, sports, fitness, participation, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to young people to develop and maintain relationships and identify their needs and hopes.
- Create a safe and appropriate environment to challenge young people's thinking, attitudes, and behaviour.
- Work flexibly to accommodate different lifestyles, goals, and aspirations of young people, including regular evenings (and some weekends).
- Engage in continued self-development through reflective practice, critical thinking, and training opportunities.

Requirements
- A JNC recognised level 3 (or above) Youth Work qualification is required for this role.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and establish strong relationships with young people and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in youth work.
