We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Head of Respiratory and Sleep Services to lead our respiratory and sleep science service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of respiratory and sleep services across the Health Board, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective service management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a lead physiologist in respiratory and sleep sciences, with a strong background in clinical leadership and management. They will be able to communicate specialist information to key stakeholders, including clinicians, and have experience in planning and developing specialist services.
The role requires the ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of competency and expertise in respiratory and sleep diagnostic procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching and mentoring staff, as well as contributing to research and quality control activities.
We are committed to supporting our staff to develop their skills and knowledge, and offer a range of training and development opportunities. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the respiratory and sleep science service, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective service management
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and patient outcomes
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the respiratory and sleep physiology teams
- Manage physical and human resources, including waiting lists and service planning
- Contribute to research and quality control activities, including the development of new services and procedures
