Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy service in surgical areas. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, working closely with the multi-disciplinary surgical team.

Main Responsibilities

As the Clinical Pharmacist Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and delivering a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service in surgical areas
  • Working closely with the multi-disciplinary surgical team to ensure seamless care
  • Developing and implementing medicines optimisation strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Providing education and training to pharmacy colleagues and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate MSc or Diploma in area of practice or equivalent experience or qualifications

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Accredited Pre-registration tutor or pharmacy diploma tutor
  • Independent prescriber
  • Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines (Leeds University) or equivalent if role includes aseptics
  • Registered as QC if role includes aseptics
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society

Language Requirements
