Transformational Leader for Family Residential Centre

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Family Residential Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of residential workers, coordinating staffing rotas, and working closely with the Local Authority to ensure effective placement of families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of residential workers and coordinate staffing rotas.
- Work together with the Local Authority to ensure effective placement of families.
- Create a culture and ethos where the complex needs of individual parents and children are met.
- Quality assure transition/care plans and ensure they are aspirational in terms of supporting individuals and families.
- Ensure the physical environment of the centre remains at a high standard at all times.
- Hold team meetings to share information, practice developments, and share any arising issues with the Management Team for resolution.
- Attend formal meetings to represent the Service and/or on behalf of the Children's Services Manager.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid UK drivers' licence.
- Must hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
- Must hold OR be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
- At least 3 years' experience working with children (within the last 5 years) and at least 1 year at Senior level supervision or management experience working with children/young people and their families in a residential setting.
- Sound knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes with the ability to support the service to achieve a rating of outstanding.
- Sound knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people.
