Job Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the area as if it were their own business, ensuring the development of new and existing customers, forecasting sales, and identifying opportunities with the necessary resources.
On a day-to-day basis, the Area Sales Manager will spend time in the field visiting customers, asking open questions to uncover opportunities, supporting with challenges, and working closely with the internal sales team to develop leads and close opportunities.
The ideal candidate will develop strong working relationships with customers at all levels, from plant operators to MDs, update the CRM system with contact data, create and update account development plans to reflect customer growth through opportunity-led business.
The Area Sales Manager will also attend monthly sales meetings to input into the company's strategy and report on support needed with resources required.
Candidate Requirements:- Customer-facing sales experience, preferably in the construction industry, but not essential.
- Organisational skills, including time management, prioritisation, and the ability to work autonomously.
- A full driver's licence.
- Curiosity, with a desire to develop knowledge in the industry and identify opportunities.
- Resilience, with the ability to meet all levels of the business, from operator to managing director.
- Drive, with a passion to succeed and develop both yourself and the business.
