We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Patient Transport Service Coordinator to join our team at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Patient Transport Service Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for queries regarding patient transport services, working from our Ambulance Headquarters in Newburn, Newcastle.

Your primary responsibility will be to take bookings for patient transport and deal with queries from healthcare staff, GP Surgeries, patients, and colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent customer service skills, experience of call handling, and proficiency in computer-based systems.

You will be expected to work effectively as part of a close-knit team, providing high-quality support to ensure the smooth operation of our patient transport services.

The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of the importance of making considered decisions, responding quickly, and probing for essential information pertinent to the transport request.

You will also be required to have good keyboard skills, as you will be utilizing our bespoke computer system to record patient details and assess their eligibility to access our patient transport system.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a competitive salary of around £25,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for career progression and professional development.
