Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Vaping Prevention Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a vaping prevention program for young people in Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver accredited training to education professionals on vaping prevention and awareness.
  • Develop and implement interactive workshops for young people to raise awareness of substance-related harm and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual awareness sessions with parents and carers to educate them on the risks associated with vaping.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the ongoing improvement and success of the vaping prevention program.
  • Work closely with schools, colleges, and education providers to promote the program and engage with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in health, social, or youth and community care, or experience working in the addictions field.
  • Commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and working with health professionals.
  • Track record of engaging effectively with clients and delivering cognitive behavioural interventions.
  • Familiarity with primary, secondary, and outreach settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.
