Job Title: Complex Needs Practitioner - Vaping Prevention

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Complex Needs Practitioner to join our team in Northampton. As a key member of our specialist youth support service, you will play a crucial role in delivering early intervention and structured treatment to young people to build understanding and raise awareness of substance-related harm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver accredited training to education professionals on vaping prevention
  • Run interactive workshops with young people to promote healthy lifestyle choices
  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual awareness sessions with parents/carers to educate them on the risks of vaping
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the ongoing improvement and success of the vaping prevention programme

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in health/social/youth and community care or experience of working in the addictions field
  • Commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Proven experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and working with health professionals
  • Ability to engage effectively with clients and work with cognitive behavioural interventions and the Model of Change framework
