Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £23,615 to £25,674 per annum, dependent on experience, as well as access to a range of benefits, including paid time off, training opportunities, and career development support.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Support Worker or Senior within our Acute services, which encompass single point of access, crisis, liaison, home treatment, substance misuse, and inpatient lodges. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective mental health services, supporting individuals with their assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. You will provide emotional support, assist with activities of daily living, and advocate for the individuals who use our services.
Main Responsibilities
- To develop knowledge and understanding of the lived experience of people in your care, ensuring that you provide the right support to meet their identified needs.
- To advocate for service users, empowering them to design their own mental healthcare and support, and ensuring their voice is heard at all levels.
- To build supportive and caring relationships with individual service users, providing daily support through encouragement, understanding, and motivation.
- To deliver prescribed 1:1 and group interventions within the scope of the support plan, with care and compassion.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A foundation knowledge of mental health.
- Care certificate, or prepared to work towards completion of this within two years.
- GCSE or equivalent qualification (level 2) in Maths and English.
