Chemotherapy Scheduler

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling chemotherapy appointments at the Kent Oncology Centre, ensuring patients receive timely appointments, making necessary changes, and following up on outstanding appointments throughout the day.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the scheduling of central venous access devices (CVAD) and other associated appointments to enable chemotherapy treatment delivery.
- Supply relevant documentation for the new patient information clinic.
- Monitor the chemotherapy action sheet and ensure completion in accordance with centre policy.
- Be aware of all cancer targets relevant to the post.
- Ensure data capture for chemotherapy trial patients is an intrinsic aspect of the appointment system.
- Assist in the training of chemotherapy support workers.
The ideal candidate will possess good communication and IT skills, with the ability to work within a busy environment. Previous experience in a clinical environment is advantageous, as is knowledge of chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy working practices.
