Chemotherapy Scheduler

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Chemotherapy Scheduler. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling chemotherapy appointments, ensuring patients receive their appointments, making necessary changes, and following up on outstanding appointments throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule chemotherapy appointments for patients at the Kent Oncology Centre
- Ensure patients receive their appointments and make necessary changes
- Follow up on outstanding appointments throughout the day
- Manage the scheduling of central venous access devices (CVAD) and other associated appointments
- Supply relevant documentation for the new patient information clinic
- Monitor the chemotherapy action sheet and ensure it is completed in accordance with centre policy
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Phased training program to be completed within 1 to 6 months
- Working knowledge of the Kent Oncology Management System or equivalent
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with stressful situations
- Awareness of cultural and individual differences among patients, carers, and colleagues
- Awareness of patient confidentiality
