Chemotherapy Scheduler

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Chemotherapy Scheduler at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our oncology team, you will be responsible for scheduling chemotherapy appointments, ensuring patient data is accurate, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule chemotherapy appointments and manage patient data with precision and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Monitor and manage patient waitlists, ensuring timely access to treatment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Phased training program to be completed within 1 to 6 months, with ongoing support and development opportunities.
- Working knowledge of the Kent Oncology Management System or equivalent.
- GCSE level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical or administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
