Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling chemotherapy appointments at the Kent Oncology Centre, ensuring patients receive timely notifications and making any necessary adjustments throughout the day.

Key responsibilities include managing the scheduling of central venous access devices and other associated appointments to facilitate chemotherapy treatment delivery.

Additionally, the post holder will be responsible for supplying relevant documentation for the new patient information clinic and monitoring the chemotherapy action sheet to ensure compliance with centre policy.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be able to work under pressure, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Duties

Good communication and IT skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work within a busy environment. Previous experience in a clinical setting and knowledge of chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy working practices are desirable.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Phased training program to be completed within 1 to 6 months
  • Working knowledge of the Kent Oncology Management System or equivalent

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
