Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Energy and Emergency Support Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing support and advice to vulnerable individuals and communities affected by rising living costs, fuel poverty, and environmental emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide energy performance assessments and identify solutions to challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and communities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce fuel poverty.
  • Work with statutory agencies and voluntary organizations to provide specialist consultancy and support.
  • Contribute to the development of funding applications and reports on energy efficiency projects.
  • Assist in the delivery of current energy efficiency projects, including the production of EPCs.
  • Collect and analyze data on vulnerable individuals and communities.
  • Participate in the provision of advice and training for Council staff and partners.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy efficiency and poverty reduction strategies, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a commitment to delivering high-quality services to vulnerable individuals and communities.
