About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operational Analyst to join our team at Gregory Martin International. As a Senior Operational Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering operational analysis capability as an integral part of our small, agile, and growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and run analysis models using Python and other relevant tools.
  • Agile Approaches: Use agile approaches to develop models and tools, including requirements capture, design, development, testing, and management.
  • Data Analysis: Collate, manage, structure, analyze, and visualize data to derive unique insights.
  • Project Delivery: Take a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with our clients and our team of consultants and analysts.
  • Consultative Approach: Take a consultative approach to your work, understanding how your work contributes to delivering a great result for our clients.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with the wider Company's team.
Requirements
  • Software Development: Experience in software development using Python.
  • Operational Analysis: Strong knowledge of operational analysis approaches and techniques.
  • Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills.
  • Requirements Gathering: Experience in requirements gathering.
  • Software Design: Strong software design skills.
  • Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills.
  • Numeracy: Highly numerate.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, enabling you to work confidently with team members and clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize your work.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and the drive to see work through to completion.
  • Positive Approach: A positive and flexible approach to your work.
  • Education: Educated to Degree level, MSc or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
  • UK MoD Experience: Experience working within UK MoD.
  • UI/UX Design: Knowledge of UI/UX design.
  • Discrete Event Simulation: Experience with discrete event simulation.
  • Data Science Techniques: Knowledge of data science techniques.
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Advanced data analysis skills in Excel.
  • Advanced VBA: Experience with advanced VBA.
  • Software Development Approaches: Knowledge of current software development approaches, platforms, and best practice.
  • Microsoft365 Solutions: Experience of designing and deploying Microsoft365, SharePoint, PowerBI, Dataverse, and PowerApps solutions.
