About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager on Ramsbottom Ward at Pennine House, Fairfield General Hospital. This is a full-time position that will provide valuable experience and new skills in leadership and staff management within the clinical sphere of older peoples services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of clients and develop programmes of care that meet their individual needs.
  • Supervise and support junior members of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development of Acute Mental Health Services, working closely with colleagues to implement new policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways for clients.

Requirements

  • First-level registration as an RMN/RNMH.
  • Experience of working in older peoples acute mental health settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
