About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager on Ramsbottom Ward at Pennine House, Fairfield General Hospital. The successful candidate will have a passion for caring for older people and a desire to make a difference in the care we provide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of clients and develop programmes of care to meet their individual needs.
  • Support and supervise junior members of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Contribute to audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • First-level registration as an RMN/RNMH.
  • Experience of working in older people's acute mental health settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
