Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager on Cedar's Ward. This is a full-time position that requires delivering high-quality patient care, undertaking the responsibilities of a Deputy Ward Manager, and supporting the Ward Manager in managing the care and treatment of patients.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering all aspects of patient care to older adults with organic illnesses
  • Undertaking the responsibilities of a Deputy Ward Manager, including deputizing for the Ward Manager in their absence
  • Providing managerial support and leadership to junior staff
  • Ensuring high-quality care is delivered in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and NMC guidance

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • 2 years post-qualification experience at Band 5 or above working with older adults
  • Good leadership and operational management skills
  • Ability to implement change and facilitate MDT training
