Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to become a vital member of our Trauma-Informed Care team within the community drug and alcohol recovery service.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned therapist eager to enhance their expertise in addressing substance misuse alongside co-occurring mental health challenges through a trauma-informed lens. Our supportive team comprises clinical psychologists, a CBT therapist, and a Dual Diagnosis lead, and we aim to broaden our range of individual and group psychological therapies.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Facilitating our 12-week group program focused on Trauma and Addiction coping strategies, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) principles.
- Providing individual psychological therapy to clients experiencing substance misuse and prevalent mental health issues.
- Participating in our weekly referral meetings to explore innovative methods for supporting clients and staff in adopting a trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Qualified practitioner psychologist or psychological therapist.
- Relevant experience in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions.
Desirable:
- Additional training in pertinent therapeutic approaches or group facilitation.
- Experience supervising non-therapeutic staff.
Knowledge and Skills
