About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Booking Officer for General Surgery. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing the comprehensive admission service for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patients into appropriate theatre lists, ensuring the surgeon's requirements are met and hospital systems are checked for essential booking information.
- Manage waiting lists and theatre lists efficiently and effectively, following established policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, and carers, using reassurance and negotiation skills to overcome barriers to understanding.
- Liaise with co-workers and the Management Team to make decisions that lead to good booking practice and an excellent support mechanism for patients and clinical teams.
