About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our team as a Surgical Admissions Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing the admission process for patients undergoing general surgery procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients into theatre lists, ensuring that all necessary information is available and that the surgeon's requirements are met.
  • Manage waiting lists and theatre lists, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner and that theatre lists are run efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all necessary information is shared and that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Implement waiting list policies, paying particular attention to the 18-week RTT national rules and the Trust's Access Policy.
