Job Title: NHS Consultant Haematologist

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering general haematology and non-malignant services in one of the largest trusts in the UK.

The successful appointee will participate in the attending and on-call rota, supported by and working with clinical teams trust-wide. They will be expected to participate in 3-4 clinics per week, predominantly dealing with general haematology and thrombosis, but also consideration for other subspecialist workload could be considered, depending on applicants' experience to date.

The Trust offers a wide variety of training and development opportunities, to support their personal and career development objectives. University Hospitals Birmingham is a Smoke-Free premises hospital.

About the Role

The Consultant Haematologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with other clinical teams to provide comprehensive haematology services. They will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality meetings, educational sessions, journal clubs, and mortality and morbidity meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver general haematology and non-malignant services
  • Participate in attending and on-call rota
  • Participate in 3-4 clinics per week
  • Work closely with clinical teams to provide comprehensive haematology services

  • GMC Registration with licence to practice
  • MRCP
