Housing Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of current social housing and repair issues.
- Accurately diagnose repairs, raise orders on IT systems, and book appointments with contractors.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to handle high-volume phone calls, ensuring targets are met.
- Provide professional, polite, and sensitive customer service, adapting communication methods to meet individual needs.
- Liaise with other departments, agencies, and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Process service requests in accordance with policy, providing advice and information to customers.
- Work collaboratively with team members to improve customer service and conduct outbound calls as required.
- Address customer complaints in accordance with the Complaints procedure and escalate cases as necessary.
- Participate in training, supervision, and other events to enhance communication and professional development.
- Contribute to the overall service objectives and targets of the Housing Repairs Services Team.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and achieve agreed service outcomes and outputs.
- Contribute to reviews of working practices and adopt new ways of working.
- Comply with Islington Council's core values and demonstrate commitment in all duties.
- Ensure duties are undertaken with due regard for the Data Protection Act and other legislation.
- Carry out duties in accordance with the Islington Council's Health and Safety Policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Perform duties within the framework of the Islington Council's Dignity for all Policy and Equality & Diversity Strategy.
- Complete working hours as agreed with the line manager and provide cover for other team members as needed.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role of Housing Repairs Co-ordinator.
