About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to join our team at Ecotricity. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to make Britain net carbon neutral by 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, input, and analyze data across all business activities to track our carbon footprint and sustainability targets.
  • Support the implementation of our scope 3 strategy, ensuring our supply chain is aligned with our environmental targets and values.
  • Maintain our document database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and key suppliers to promote sustainability and reduce our environmental impact.
  • Support preparation for internal and external audits, including ISO 14001, and capture and track actions.
  • Promote awareness of the impact of business decisions on the environment and support policy reviews and legislative updates.
  • Stay up-to-date on sustainability trends and support business sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide active support at our Sustainability meetings, including developing agendas and note-taking.
  • Produce Board reports and project updates using data gathered.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive with ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high quality assurance and due diligence.
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage a varied workload.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of carbon footprinting.
  • Experience working in a sustainability-focused role.
  • Experience of ISO 14001.
