About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to join our team at Ecotricity. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to make Britain net carbon neutral by 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Management: Gather, input, and analyze data across various business activities to track our carbon footprint and sustainability targets.
  • Strategy Implementation: Support the implementation of our scope 3 strategy, ensuring alignment with our environmental goals.
  • Document Management: Maintain our document database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders and key suppliers to ensure our supply chain is aligned with our environmental values and targets.
  • Audit Support: Assist with preparation for internal and external audits, including ISO 14001, and capture and track actions.
  • Sustainability Awareness: Support promoting awareness of the impact of business decisions on the environment.
  • Policy Reviews: Assist with policy reviews and legislative updates across the Group.
  • Sustainability Trends: Stay up-to-date on sustainability trends and support business sustainability initiatives.
  • Reporting: Produce Board reports and project updates using data gathered.
Requirements
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Must have strong analytical and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT Skills: Excellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and Organized: Proactive with ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines with high quality assurance and due diligence.
  • Strong Prioritization: Strong prioritization skills to manage a varied workload.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Carbon Footprinting Experience: Experience of carbon foot printing.
  • Sustainability Experience: Experience working in a sustainability-focused role would be advantageous.
  • ISO 14001 Experience: Experience of ISO14001.
