University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Adult Sleep Team as an Assistant Sleep Physiologist. Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Sleep Physiology Team and Consultants in delivering an efficient service to patients within inpatient and outpatient settings. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the care of patients attending the service for diagnostic sleep testing
- Providing continuous support, advice, and follow-up of patients on long-term CPAP therapy
- Managing the patient support line and assisting with effective stock management, maintenance of equipment, and consumables used within the adult sleep service
- Working collaboratively and co-operatively with other colleagues to meet patient and service needs

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A-C, or grade 4-9 including English and Maths
- NVQ 3 in appropriate healthcare module or equivalent education and training or experience
- Experience of working with the general public and as part of a multidisciplinary/multi-skilled team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of healthcare staff and patients
- Good planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills, with the ability to work within time constraints and remain focused
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
