Adult Communication Specialist for Community Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Communication Specialist to join our team, working in a community mental health setting. As a specialist in adult communication, you will play a critical role in identifying and addressing complex communication needs among adults with mental health diagnoses.

Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing personalized support plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination. You will also contribute to education and training programs to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals in supporting individuals with communication difficulties.

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in speech and language therapy principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. You should be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to drive positive change in patient care.

**Required Qualifications and Experience:***

  • SLT degree/diploma
  • HCPC registration
  • RCLST registration
  • Specialist knowledge of swallowing and SLCN
