Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our UK sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for growing and expanding our client base by finding and converting new generator accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, target, and acquire new owners of renewable energy projects to support customers in optimizing the sale of their electricity.
  • Take full ownership of a business development pipeline, delivering value to clients through a relationship-focused sales process.
  • Develop or build upon an in-depth understanding of the UK power market and use this expertise to communicate market insights to our clients.
  • Build strong client relationships by communicating regularly, traveling to in-person meetings, and networking at industry events.
  • Be curious and find innovative ways of adding value to our clients through different consultancy, reporting, and optimization services.
Requirements
  • Commercially focused and able to deliver superb sales results while delivering outstanding service to clients.
  • 2-10 years of business development experience with a proven track record.
  • You don't have to have direct experience in the energy industry, but if you do or you've specifically worked with power purchase agreements, we'd like to hear from you.
  • An excellent communicator through various channels, with experience pitching to company directors or equivalent.
  • Motivated and driven to deliver the best service possible to our clients and develop long-term relationships.
  • Confident with presenting complex data sets to deliver high-level insights and analytics to key clients.
  • Ideally based in Bristol but we are also open to candidates based in the UK in locations that can conveniently travel to Bristol and London.
  • Passionate about sustainability and accelerating the journey to net-zero.
