SEN Leadership Position

Join ACADEMICS in Waltham Forest, London, as we seek a dedicated SEN Leader to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a permanent full-time position available from January 2025.
About the OpportunityThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and reviewing IEPs for SEND students
- Managing a team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
- Supporting Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs of SEND students
- Providing additional support to students with SEND, as needed
- Maintaining compliance with national and local legislation regarding SEND
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and additional SENCo qualifications or a willingness to undertake training
- Experience in supporting children with a range of SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
- A strong understanding of the SEND code of practice
- Effective communication skills, including collaboration with parents, staff, and external professionals
This role is based in Waltham Forest, London.
